The SHARPAK® 60 ‘PLUS’ was developed following many hours of customer and market research as well as over fifteen years experience gained in the market supplying infection control products to the healthcare sector. The SHARPAK 60 ‘PLUS’ is approved to the British Standard BS7320:1990, French Standard NF X 30-500 and tested and certified in accordance with the provisions of the United Nations recommendations on the Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Chapter 9, UN3291 Clinical Waste, Unspecified, NOS.

This spring-loaded injection moulding is inserted into the closure of our Sharpak sharps containers during assembly. It is only actuated when the closure is turned to the 'fully locked' position - the result being that the top of the indicator is clearly visible, even from a distance. Sharpak VisiLOCK is now available on the Sharpak 18 and Sharpak 35 Plus, 60 Plus, 120 Plus and 220 Plus containers.

- Vertical Drop / Leak Test - Drop test from a height of 1 metre after conditioning at 23°C. The container is filled to a weight equal to 40% of the maximum capacity with non-absorbent material plus water equal to 6% of the maximum capacity or 60ml whichever is the lesser. The test is performed allowing the container to fall on its top, on two adjacent side walls, on a corner at the top, a corner at the base and the base
- Maximum fill volume - A fill line positioned at the recommended fill capacity
- Labelling - Clearly detailed specification
- Colour - Predominately Yellow * Cytotoxic - predominately Purple
- Handle - Suspension test when filled to max. capacity of the container expressed in kilograms
