The OAPL Plantar Fasciitis sock is an easy to use, inexpensive yet highly effective device. By keeping tension on the plantar fascia tissue at night it helps reduce the impact associated with initial stretch under body weight in the morning. The unique proximal tibial cuff reduces migration down the limb and dual stretching straps ensures you get an effective stretch of the plantar fascia. Used alone or in conjunction with other treatment modalities, it can also help to decrease recovery time.

Fitting Instructions

Step 1

Pull sock up so that the calf strap is located above the calf muscle belly. Firmly secure touch tape calf band strap. Trim touch tape if required.

 

Step 2

Ensure that the ankle stretch strap loop is located around the metatarsal heads and tension ankle stretch strap. This should lock the calf band strap around the calf and bring the ankle into a dorsiflexed position. If calf strap slips release ankle stretch strap re-tension calf strap and repeat step 2.

Step 3

Tension toe extension strap and lock in under ankle stretch strap. Trim excess touch tape if required.

Step 4

Re-tension ankle stretching and toe extension straps as required.
