Syringe Barrel
The syringe barrel is made from a specially formulated proprietary polypropylene resin.
This ensures that you maintain low pressure during the flushing process, and therefore reduces the risk of damaging the vein and/or catheter due to excess pressure.
All BD PosiFlush™ Syringes, filled with Saline, are equipped with the innovative BD Luer-Lok™ tip,
which ensures a safe, secure connection to the catheter. 
The rubber plunger rod stopper meets the end of the syringe. Because it is rubber, it will compress then rebound, creating a vacuum that draws blood back into the catheter.
